Business proprietor Hilary Shirreff is a professional genealogist working towards a degree in family and social history, she has spent 10 years researching her own family history, tracing them as far north as Caithness in the highlands of Scotland, as well as the Scottish borders and Northumberland and Tyneside. Having been brought up in the once royal burgh of Berwick Upon Tweed she has a keen interest in the local history and is a regular visitor of the archive office in Berwick,she can also be spotted at Edinburgh registrars office on a weekly basis and the record offices and repositories of Northumberland and Newcastle Upon Tyne.
